Health: Taking Matters Into Your Own Hands
Almost everyone has had a negative experience when it comes to visits with their doctor. Sometimes it feels as though you’re speaking totally different languages, and you can’t get your point across. Or perhaps you’ve gone in to fix one problem and you’ve left with meds to solve a completely separate issue, and the one you came in for is still untreated. And often you’re misdiagnosed to the point that the treatments that you’re given are detrimental to your health. No need to mention the graver happenings when it comes to doctor mishaps.
With western medicine being such a powerhouse of profits, it’s no wonder that we often get nothing out of our visits except a new prescription. These giant companies incentivize doctors into making bogus claims, or stretching the symptoms in order to make more sales. And even if your doctor is one of the good ones that doesn’t practice this, their hands are probably tied when it comes to actually giving you the help you need. Years of being in that industry and not being able to give patients proper care can break a doctor’s will down.
So what are we to do when there’s a problem that just can’t seem to be fixed through the regular channels? Quite often it’s extremely difficult to find the solution yourself. You can search all over Google and only find the same solution worded differently. Or you can talk to one person who fixed it and try their method, only to figure out that it’s now made your symptoms worse.
One thing you can do is seek out holistic medicine pathways. Western medicine relegates these practices to “placebos” and denies that the herbs and medicines we’ve used for thousands of years have any positive effect. Of course this is complete nonsense. Mother nature provides countless solutions to the modern world’s ailments, and we’d be wise to use them. These types of healers can usually be found locally if not just a town away. And if you trust yourself enough, the knowledge can be purchased or even found freely online through certain avenues.
Another thing that we can incorporate into our daily lives is taking into consideration the fact that every organ in our body is closely related to an emotion. This is why your happy-go-lucky friend never seems to get sick! Our bodies respond to the information that we’re taking in, and we should pay attention to the entertainment we’re consuming and not just our food. The Chinese have mapped where each of the major emotions, anger, jealousy, sadness, guilt, joy, all map to different points on our bodies. These maps can be key to figuring out if there’s something you’re holding onto emotion-wise that’s affecting your health.
But even if you don’t buy into either of those previous methods of healing, simply watching what we eat (no seed oils or processed foods) can greatly increase our health as we get older. I hope that you take the time to research and are able to find out how to fix yourself and your body.
